What can I request?

  • Books

  • Book chapters

  • Journal articles

  •  Newspapers on microfilm

  •  Government Documents

  •  Conference Proceedings

  • Technical Reports.

Please make sure to check the PNW Library's catalog to make sure we do not already own the item. 

How long will it take to get my request?

  • Books - 6 - 10 days

  • Article - hours -3 days

How will I get my request?


  • Items will be held at the Library's public service desk
  • We will hold items until their due date.


  • Emailed to the email you provided
  • Sent to your Tipasa account

How do I cancel my request?

  • Please contact us and let us know what you've requested and we will cancel it for you.

My book was recalled. What does that mean and why?

  • Recalls happen when the items are needed back at the lending library before their due date. 
  • If you receive a recall notification please return the item right away and if you still need the item you can submit a new request and we can try to obtain another copy for you. 

How long can I keep my requested book?

  • Due dates are determined by the lending library. Most libraries give 4 weeks with 1 renewal, other libraries will give 8 weeks with no renewal.  

How do I know when my due date is?

  • The paperwork around or in the book will have the due date
  • You can also check your Tipasa account 

How do I renew my Interlibrary loan books?

  • You will need to log into your Tipasa account and under the "review requests" you can click view/renew checked-out items.
