What is PurdueBorrow

In addition to requesting books from the Hammond and Westville campus libraries to be shipped to either campus, the PNW Library offers request options for physical materials held at Purdue University West Lafayette and Purdue Fort Wayne in our online catalog, Library Search. You can request these materials and they will be sent to the Hammond or Westville campus via Indiana's statewide library courier. These materials will be available for pickup at the campus library you chose.

Check-Out Period: 17 weeks

Renewals: Yes, unless the item was requested by another patron

Who can utilize PurdueBorrow: Current PNW: Students (Graduate and Undergraduate), Faculty, Limited-term Lecturers, Staff, Official Retirees

Important Notes: * You can choose Hammond or Westville campus Library as your pick-up location * You will receive an email when it's on the hold shelf and ready to be picked up * Items will be held at the front desk of the library. * Items that are not picked up after 14 days will be returned to the Home campus * Late Fees are determined by the lending library

How to Request From other Purdue Libraries

From the Library’s homepage
Search for the book/subject you are looking for
You will get a list of books that the libraries own as well as eBooks and articles the PNW Library owns.
Log in using your Purdue login information

Once logged in, you can click on the record to display the availability and request information, and see which location owns the material.

(In this example you will see Westville and Purdue West Lafayette own this book)

Click on the library you would like the material from
Click Request

Fill out the necessary information and click Send request
